I might have gotten a slight sunburn today. Now that's something you didn't expect, did you?
Went to a couple of unusual targets today. Visited a small town/suburb 8 km outside Dublin called Dundrum. I got to see the mountains that I'm heading to tomorrow. There's a picture under the "pages" (More photos). Something to look forward to.
The second thing I did today was a long walk to the Port of Dublin and back. The pictures in this post are from the Port. The beautiful Samuel Beckett bridge and the strange but impressive Convention Centre Dublin next to it were worth the wall. I also saw the beautiful Aviva Stadium (picture in the above mentioned Dropbox folder).
I also ordered a bike charger for my Samsung smart phone. It's actually a Nokia product (dc-14), but with an adapter it should work just fine with my Sammy. It allows me to charge my phone on the go. (There goes the last excuse not to post regularly). Thanks to Colin and Jutta for a delivery address! Now I'm only hoping it to arrive before Saturday...
The plan for the next days:
Tomorrow I'll "climb" the Wicklow mountains and try to find a good place to put up my tent somewhere between Wicklow and Wexford. On Friday I'll drive through Wexford and head to Waterford. I might stay there overnight, but most likely I'll head as far toward Kilkenny as I can. On Saturday I'll look around Kilkenny and then try to get to Portlaoise to visit Colin and Jutta. After that there's no plan yet, but I'll have one by the time I get there.
I'll try to post at least some pictures tomorrow. Check out the Dropbox folder for more pictures.
Over and out from Porterhouse pub in Dublin.
Hope you made the most of the "sun" today Harri, severe weather warnings for the UK and it's heading this way for Friday night/Saturday and through Sunday. A hot meal and a softer place to sleep awaits you though and hopefully will see you through the flooding that is sure to arrive :)
